General:

This course addresses using NX modeling functionality to build freeform shapes. Freeform shapes cannot be built using standard form features (blocks, cylinders, spheres and simple extruded or revolved features). This course includes creating splines and other developed curves, building surfaces through one or more sets of curves, sweeping profiles along guides, and applying specially shaped transitions between faces. Hybrid modeling using a combination of surface and solid modeling is also included in the course.

Objective of the course:

After the training the student understands the basics of surface and hybrid modeling. The student knows the basic freeform commands and knows how to create a solid freeform model out of surfaces.
